Another great passion of mine - maps. I created and self-published this series of large wall maps which have sold to schools in South Africa – although I haven't really marketed them aggressively – just a labour of love at this stage. All the maps were created from scratch using public domain GIS data in the form of shape files which I converted to a vector format I could manipulate in Illustrator. Hill shade and physical features were created from DEMs and basic GIS software to colourise elevation. Artwork and editorial is also mine, but in some instances, images were sourced from NASA or public domain stock sites.
